Community Guidelines

Our Philosophy
Chupke is built on the idea that anonymity can be fun, exciting, and positive. We believe in creating a space where people can express themselves freely while treating each other with respect. Anonymity is a privilege — not a shield for harmful behaviour.
These guidelines exist to keep Chupke safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone. Every user is expected to follow them. Violations will be taken seriously.
1. Be Kind & Respectful
Treat every person on Chupke the way you'd want to be treated. Remember that there's a real person on the other side of every mystery, message, and confession.
- Send mysteries that are fun, thoughtful, or surprising — not hurtful
- Respect differences in background, identity, beliefs, and opinions
- If someone asks you to stop messaging them, respect their boundary
2. No Harassment or Bullying
Anonymity is never an excuse for cruelty. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Sending repeated unwanted messages to someone who has indicated they want to be left alone
- Targeting someone with offensive, degrading, or humiliating content
- Coordinating with others to harass or bully a specific person
- Using mysteries, Vault confessions, or Unsent posts to embarrass or shame someone
- Creating fake or misleading mysteries designed to cause emotional distress
3. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
We have zero tolerance for content that attacks or demeans people based on:
- Race, ethnicity, or national origin
- Religion or religious beliefs
- Gender, gender identity, or gender expression
- Sexual orientation
- Disability or health condition
- Age, caste, or socioeconomic status
This includes slurs, derogatory stereotypes, and content that promotes or glorifies hatred toward any group.
4. No Threats or Violence
Content that threatens, promotes, or glorifies violence is prohibited. This includes:
- Direct or implied threats of physical harm
- Encouraging or inciting violence against any person or group
- Content that glorifies or celebrates real-world violence
- Sharing content related to terrorism or extremism
If we become aware of a credible threat of harm, we may report it to law enforcement.
5. Protect Privacy — No Doxxing
Sharing someone's personal information without their consent is strictly prohibited. This includes:
- Real names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses
- Photos or videos of someone without their consent
- School, workplace, or location information
- Financial information or private documents
- Any information that could be used to identify or locate someone offline
Guessing someone's identity through the investigation system is part of the game — but sharing private personal details is not.
6. Age-Appropriate Content
Chupke is used by people aged 18 and older. Keep content appropriate:
- No sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW content
- No content depicting or promoting drug use or underage drinking
- No content that sexualizes minors in any way — this results in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to authorities
7. No Self-Harm or Suicide Content
Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide is prohibited. If you or someone you know is struggling:
- India: iCall — 9152987821 | Vandrevala Foundation — 1860-2662-345
- USA: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988
- International: findahelpline.com
8. No Spam or Manipulation
- Do not send mass unsolicited messages or repetitive content
- Do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the platform
- Do not exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities — report them to us instead
- Do not create multiple accounts to evade bans or manipulate the system
- Do not artificially inflate XP, streaks, or other progression metrics
- Do not engage in phishing or attempt to steal other users' credentials
9. Investigation & Game Etiquette
The investigation system is a core part of Chupke. Play fair:
- Use clues and your own deduction skills to investigate — don't pressure people outside the app to reveal senders
- Don't publicly share investigation results to spoil mysteries for others
- Respect the Pressure Test mechanic — the sender has the right to answer or not within the time window
- Accept investigation outcomes gracefully, whether you guessed correctly or not
10. Squad Conduct
Squads are meant to be fun groups of friends. Squad leaders and members should:
- Keep Vault confessions within the spirit of the game — fun, not malicious
- Not use Squad Wars as a vehicle for targeted harassment of rival squads
- Not exclude or bully members within the squad
- Report any concerning behaviour to Chupke support
11. Reporting & Blocking
If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines:
- Report: Use the in-app report feature to flag any message, mystery, confession, or user profile. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
- Block: Block any user to prevent them from sending you messages, mysteries, or appearing in your experience. Blocking is bidirectional — neither party will be able to see or contact the other. You can manage your blocked users list from your profile settings at any time.
All reports are treated confidentially. The person you report will not be told who reported them. False or malicious reporting is itself a violation and may result in action against your account.
12. Enforcement
We use a combination of automated moderation and human review to enforce these guidelines. Violations are handled through our three-strike system:
Strike 1 — Warning
You'll receive a warning notification explaining the violation. The offending content will be removed.
Strike 2 — Temporary Suspension
Your account will be suspended for 7 days. You will not be able to send messages, post content, or participate in squad activities during this period.
Strike 3 — Permanent Ban
Your account will be permanently banned. This action is irreversible. Banned users may not create new accounts.
Immediate permanent ban: Severe violations — including threats of physical violence, content depicting harm to minors, sharing of illegal content, or doxxing — will result in an immediate permanent ban without prior strikes. We may also report such activity to law enforcement.
13. Appeals
If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting us at support@chupke.app with:
- Your username
- A description of the action taken
- Why you believe the action was incorrect
Appeals will be reviewed within 7 business days. The decision on appeal is final.
14. Changes to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use of Chupke after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
15. Contact Us
